Raina Dawn Events...SECRETS behind planning Heather & Mark's Newport Wedding!

After an amazing Newport, Rhode Island Wedding Weekend on Oct. 9th for Heather & Mark...we are all just anxiously awaiting the amazing photos from M Benedict Verley and video by the fabulous Mike Cyr, Buzz Media Company.  

Raina Dawn Events is so excited to share tips, vendors and photos from a simply stunning weekend that Heather & Mark hosted for 75 of their closests friends and family.  

Their wedding took place on Friday night at Belle Mer, where the amazing Meghan worked with me until the wee hours to execute their fabulous wedding.  Collaborating again with my dear friend Richard Carbotti and Jordan, Evan, Dwayne of Perfect Surroundings, who once again blew me away...along with the couple and everyone at the wedding!!

And if I haven't teased you enough...you will have to come back to hear about all the other amazing vendors and photos that are to come. DJ (beyond the BEST brought him up from NYC!), cake gorgeous and delicious, the divine food from Belle Mer that guests are still talking about, and lots, lots more.

As A Newport Wedding Planner, I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to plan such special occasions in such a beautiful town like Newport.  Not only do I get to work with such amazing and talented people and friends in the area, but I love executing the couples vision to make it personal and everything they imagined.

LIVE iPhone Blog...in Newport for Wedding Planning Weekend- at Hotel Viking!

Staying at the beautiful Hotel Viking in Newport.  I was in the lobby and there was a bride with her bridesmaids : ) Purple bridesmaids dresses- such a trend, but do look so fab!

Already met with the amazing Mike Cyr, Buzz Media Company. who I can not rave enough about!  Excited for my dinner tonight with my dear friend Carrie (Carrie Rodman Wedding Photography) at Clarke Cook House!!

I am really excited to share these gorgeous photos from my clients Heather & Mark's  engagement session.  They were taken in July in Newport, Rhode Island by the talented and lovely M Benedicte Verley.

As A Newport Wedding Planner  I spend planning weekends with my clients meeting with vendors and planning their wedding.  We spent the weekend in Newport and have been planning Heather & Mark's wedding over the past five months and this past weekend they tied the knot in Newport at Belle Mer!

A Newport Wedding Planner- Tip of the Day!

This week I met with a fabulous new client of mine...and they have sparked this A Newport Wedding Planner: Tip of the Day!


The bride said she wants something creative for her escort card table.  I got to work on ideas and am really excited about what I am going to propose!!  


Before I reveal my SECRET escort card table idea here are some photos for inspiration if you are also looking to make a statement with your escort card table. 

"Tip Of the Day"...if you are going to do something bold be sure it works with your setting!  Sounds simple, but you would be surprised when you start to think out of the box where it may take you. 

Keep it simple and stylish... If you are getting married in a gilded mansion in Newport on a Saturday night you do not want to use seashells or grass...you want something elegant and sophisticated.  If you are having a clambake or vineyard wedding you can go with something more kitchy and theme oriented.  

Be elegant when in an elegant setting.   I am suggesting to my Newport Bride & Groom who are getting married at The Astor's Beechwood Mansion in Newport next June that we do a beautiful table filled with 200 champagne glasses filled to the top with a satin ribbon tied to each glass that has hand calligraphy with their guests name & table number.  Each guest as they enter the mansion will not only find their table name, but have a glass a champagne to bring into the cocktail hour.  

It will not only be gorgeous and stunning, but suit the decor!
